The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced the Inter-Club One-Day tournament, scheduled to occur in April across all 16 regions of the country.

All cricket clubs registered under the PCB Constitution 2014, whether active or inactive, are eligible to participate in the tournament.

It is clarified that the final list of eligible clubs will be based on the latest scrutiny conducted after the 2023 elections.

Additionally, the PCB will facilitate the registration process for new clubs. Interested clubs can apply for fresh registration with their respective District/Zonal Cricket Associations in accordance with the Model Constitution of District/Zonal Cricket Associations and obtain playing rights.

The districts are responsible for finalizing schedules, initially monitored by the regions and later overseen by the PCB. Each club is guaranteed to play a minimum of three matches in the pool stage. The Inter-Club One-Day Tournament will adhere to PCB rules and regulations for One-Day matches.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the importance of club cricket in nurturing talent and expressed confidence in the tournament’s ability to unearth skilled players.

Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Director of Domestic Cricket Operations, expressed delight in announcing the tournament, aiming to provide quality and competitive cricket to cricket clubs nationwide. In line with Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi’s vision, the tournament aims to host over 6,000 matches, fostering the growth of cricket at the grassroots level.
