RAWALPINDI: Former champions Lahore Qalandars have officially been eliminated from contention in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 playoffs.

Having won two titles in the past, Lahore Qalandars have failed to secure a single victory in this season thus far.

Currently positioned at the bottom of the PSL 9 standings with only one point from seven matches, their solitary point came from a washout against Peshawar Zalmi due to persistent rain.

The team’s campaign began with an eight-wicket defeat against Islamabad United, followed by losses to Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, and Peshawar Zalmi.

Despite hopes for a turnaround in the second leg of the tournament, Lahore Qalandars suffered another loss to Multan Sultans.

In their eighth fixture, Lahore Qalandars faced Islamabad United, aiming for their first win of PSL 9.
