Peshawar Zalmi skipper, Babar Azam, is gearing up to take center stage in the ninth installment of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Babar Azam provided a sneak peek into his training regime, expressing his anticipation for the PSL season ahead. “It’s PSL time,” he declared.
Azam isn’t just aiming to lead his team with determination; he’s also eyeing a significant personal milestone of reaching 3,000 runs in the PSL, a feat yet to be accomplished by any batsman in this premier domestic tournament.
With just 65 runs needed to achieve this landmark, Azam’s determination is palpable.

Mohammad Akram, the Director of Peshawar Zalmi, revealed the team’s desire to see Babar Azam take on the role of the opener in the upcoming PSL season.
In a media interaction, Akram emphasized that Azam, being the team captain, holds the prerogative to decide his batting position. He underscored the importance of team dynamics, stating, “Like every year, we have endeavored to build a formidable lineup.”
