T20I Series Trophy Unveiled for Pakistan-West Indies Encounter

KARACHI: Ahead of the highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and West Indies women in the five-match T20I series, the trophy glittered under the lights at the National Bank Stadium, unveiled by the respective team captains, Nida Dar and Hayley Matthews, during their pre-series press conference on Thursday.

The T20I matches are set to kick off at 7:30 pm, with the toss scheduled for 7:00 pm. The second T20I is slated for April 28, followed by the third on April 30. The fourth and fifth T20Is will take place on May 2 and 3, respectively.

Reflecting on the disappointing outcome of the ODI series, Pakistan captain Dar expressed her team’s determination to rectify mistakes and maintain their winning momentum in the shortest format of the game.

Acknowledging the importance of the series, particularly in a World Cup year, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s recent successes in T20Is against formidable opponents and their ambition to extend their winning streak against West Indies.

Meanwhile, West Indies captain Matthews voiced her team’s eagerness to carry forward their ODI success into the T20I series.

Expressing satisfaction with her own performance in the ODI series, Matthews pledged to contribute to her team’s success in the upcoming matches.
