In a recent development in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Pakistani opener Saim Ayub has joined Durdanto Dhaka. Ayub, who recently represented Pakistan in the T20I series against New Zealand, brings his talent and experience to the team. During the series, the 21-year-old cricketer showcased his skills with 39 runs in four innings against New Zealand.

Durdanto Dhaka shared this exciting update on X (formerly Twitter), welcoming Ayub to their squad.

Shoaib Malik Departs BPL, Heads to Dubai

Meanwhile, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik bid farewell to the BPL as he headed to Dubai for personal reasons. Malik, who played his last match for the Fortune Barishals in the BPL, departed after yesterday’s game. The Barishals confirmed Malik’s departure, stating that he had reached Dubai for personal commitments.

Despite his absence, Malik is expected to return for the Barishals’ upcoming match against the Chattogram Challengers on January 27.

However, sources close to the situation revealed that Malik, who recently tied the knot, had requested the Barishals to find a suitable replacement for him. The team management is actively seeking a player who can fill Malik’s role in the batting lineup.

If needed, Malik may make himself available for the Barishals, but if not, he might opt to participate in the Sindh Premier League (SPL) instead.
