Pakistani players Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abdullah Shafique are battling a viral infection. This is a major setback for Pakistan, as Shaheen Afridi is one of the best bowlers in the world and Abdullah Shafique is a rising star in the batting lineup.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet provided any details on the nature of the viral infection, but it is likely to be a common cold or flu. Both players are currently under medical supervision and are expected to make a full recovery soon.

In Shaheen Afridi’s absence, Hasan Al are likely to lead Pakistan’s bowling attack. Abdullah Shafique’s spot in the batting lineup could be taken by Saud Shakeel or Fakhar Zaman.

Pakistan’s hopes of winning the World Cup will depend on the fitness of their key players. If Shaheen Afridi and Abdullah Shafique are able to recover quickly, Pakistan will be one of the favorites to win the tournament. However, if they are forced to miss a significant number of matches, Pakistan’s chances of success will be greatly diminished.

The Pakistan national cricket team’s preparations for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 have been disrupted by a viral chest infection that has sidelined several key players.

Sources close to the team have revealed that four to five players have been infected with the severe chest infection, which has caused high fevers and illness.

Usama Mir was one of the first players to be afflicted by the ailment, and he was placed in quarantine as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, all medical tests conducted on Mir, except for COVID-19 and dengue, yielded negative results. Mir has now made a remarkable recovery and is reportedly available for selection once again.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was also struck by a viral-bacterial infection. He sought medical attention, including receiving antibiotic drips, to aid his recovery.

Abdullah Shafique also succumbed to a severe high fever, and doctors are currently assessing his condition.

In addition, Zaman Khan has joined the ranks of those affected by a viral infection, compounding the team’s woes.

Despite these challenges, the National Team’s media manager has disclosed that several cricketers, including Mir, are showing signs of improvement and are on the road to recovery.

The severity of the situation became evident when the scheduled practice session for today was cancelled due to the health issues facing the national players.

It remains to be seen how this unexpected setback will impact Pakistan’s preparations for the highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023, which is just around the corner.
