Crucial PCB Board of Governors Meeting Scheduled for February 6 to Elect Chairman:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will now function directly under the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), following a transfer of authority from the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) to the Cabinet Division, as reported on Monday.

The upcoming meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Board of Governors on February 6 at 2 pm is poised to be a pivotal event in determining the leadership direction of the PCB.

Shah Khawar, the Election Commissioner and Acting Chairman of the PCB, has officially summoned the meeting in adherence to the guidelines delineated in the PCB Constitution of 2014.

Attendance of all 11 board members is mandatory, including Mustafa Ramde, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Sajjad Ali Khokhar, and Zafarullah Jadgul, among others.

The remaining members, Tanveer Ahmed, Tariq Sarwar, Muhammad Ismail Qureshi, Dr. Anwar Ahmed Khan, Javed Iqbal, and Osama Azhar, are also expected to participate. Furthermore, the Secretary of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination holds a seat on the governing board.

This assembly is anticipated to wield significant influence in determining the future leadership of the PCB.
