Collaboration Announcement: Launch of Groundbreaking Chess Education Initiative in Pakistan:

The Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP), in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan (GoP), FIDE, FIDE EDU, and the Asian Chess Federation (ACF), is joining forces to introduce the largest Chess in Education (CIE) program globally, targeting 10,000 schools across the nation, both public and private.

The inauguration of this program is scheduled to take place at the Prime Minister Secretariat in Islamabad on the 2nd of February 2024, with the Prime Minister of Pakistan presiding over the ceremony. Attendees will include key officials from CFP, FIDE, ACF, and EDU, as well as Federal and provincial ministers and Secretaries, Senators, diplomatic representatives, representatives from the World Bank and UN, and education ministry officials from all regions of the country. International donor agencies, along with members of the press and media, will also be in attendance.
