The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has affirmed that Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will retain his position as the president of the organization. This decision was unanimously reached during the ACC Annual General Meeting held in Bali on Wednesday, January 31st.

Shah first assumed the presidency of the ACC in 2021, succeeding Nazmul Hassan earlier that year. His term as president was initially set until January 2024, and his reappointment for another two years has been approved.

In 2021, at the age of 32, Jay Shah became the youngest administrator to hold the role of ACC chief, marking a significant milestone in his career.

With his re-election, Shah is poised to continue leading the ACC for the next two years, building upon the initiatives undertaken during his initial tenure. In his statement following the re-election, Shah emphasized the importance of fostering cricket’s growth across Asia, particularly in regions where the sport is still in its early stages.
