Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant unbeaten 81-ball 126 against New Zealand won the hearts of former Indian cricketers on Saturday.
Former Indian batter Virender Sehwag praised Zaman, saying, “What an innings by Fakhar Zaman! Pakistan’s best batter by far. Which genius kept him on the bench for most of the tournament?”
He added, “Even his protein and passion levels are high.”
Former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan said, “Brilliant hitting by Fakhar Zaman. I said during the mid-innings break that if Pakistan had any chance of winning this game, it would be through Fakhar. His fearless approach makes him dangerous in these situations.”
Renowned Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle also praised Zaman for his resounding performance against New Zealand, saying, “Wow, what a run chase! This is what Fakhar Zaman can do when he’s on fire.”
Bhogle added, “He wins unwinnable matches, and Pakistan must wonder why he can’t marry consistency to his destructive powers. But today, he’s putting his team firmly back in the tournament.”
