DUBAI: Following India’s convincing victory over England in the fourth Test, top-order batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill achieved their career-best positions in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Test Batting Rankings. India secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series with a five-wicket win. Jaiswal’s contributions, a half-century in the first innings and 37 runs in the second, propelled him three spots to 12th position. Gill also rose four places, reaching the 31st spot after a significant half-century in the second innings.England’s Zak Crawley achieved his career-best ranking, climbing 10 places to reach 17th after scoring 42 and 60 in the fourth Test. Joe Root, with his 31st Test century, claimed the third position in the ICC Test Batting Rankings.In the same rankings, Root ascended three places to reach the fourth position with 282 points in the ICC Test All-Rounder Rankings. India’s Ravindra Jadeja leads this category with 449 rating points.In the ICC Test Bowling Rankings, Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav surged 10 spots to secure the 32nd position, courtesy of his impressive 4-22 in the second innings against England.Australian pace bowler Josh Hazlewood gained six places to claim the seventh position in the ICC T20 Bowling Rankings after Australia’s clean sweep against New Zealand in the T20I series.New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson, securing five wickets in the series, jumped 20 spots to reach the 29th position in the same rankings.Australian batters also made significant progress in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings. Captain Mitchell Marsh rose two places to 15th, Travis Head surged 18 places to 19th, and Tim David gained six spots to reach 22nd.
