Pakistan’s cricket team has arrived in Sydney for the concluding Test against Australia, and three players from the Big Bash League (BBL), Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, and Osama Mir, have joined the squad.

Initially in Australia for the BBL, the trio, not part of the Test squad, will practice with the national team. A spokesperson for the National Team confirmed that all three cricketers had sought No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for additional BBL matches, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declined the request.

Despite the disappointment of losing the three-match Test series to the host Australia, the Pakistani team is gearing up for the final showdown at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The team will engage in practice sessions on January 1 and January 2, 2024, leading up to the commencement of the third test on January 3.

The presence of Rauf, Khan, and Mir provides an additional dimension to the team’s preparations, offering an opportunity for collaborative training sessions and sharing experiences from their BBL stint. The upcoming test match at the SCG will be a crucial opportunity for the team to salvage some pride and conclude the series on a positive note.
