A comprehensive security strategy has been unveiled for the upcoming PSL season 9 matches, with Lahore Police and law enforcement agencies leaving no stone unturned to ensure foolproof arrangements as overseas players begin to arrive in the City of Gardens—Lahore.

An impressive contingent of over 16,000 police personnel will be deployed to oversee security during PSL matches, with a meticulous plan in place for matches in Rawalpindi and Multan.

Among the first arrivals in Lahore are Islamabad United’s Colin Munro and Tymal Mills, as the team gears up for their opening match against Lahore Qalandars.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that the PSL season 9 will kick off on 17th February, emphasizing the importance of effective management to ensure smooth proceedings for the public. Measures will be taken to minimize traffic disruptions, with alternative routes communicated to citizens via media channels.

Lahore DIG Operations Police has outlined the security arrangements, detailing the deployment of over 7,000 personnel to ensure the safety of fans and players alike. The plan includes the deployment of 13 SPs, 36 DSPs, and 81 inspectors, with continuous monitoring through Punjab Safe City Authority cameras and access granted after passing through a four-tier security checkpoint.
