Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, appointing Farhan Yousaf as captain for the tournament scheduled to take place in Dubai from December 12 to 21.

The eight-team, 50-over event will feature Pakistan in Group A alongside India, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Qualifier 2.

This year’s tournament carries added importance as it will act as a crucial preparation platform ahead of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia early next year.

Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup campaign on December 12, taking on Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium. The highly anticipated clash against India is slated for December 14 at the ICC Academy Ground, followed by their final group match against Qualifier 1 on December 16 at the same venue.

The semi-finals are scheduled for December 19, with the final to be played on December 21.

Captain Farhan Yousaf, 18, enters the tournament after a remarkable domestic season where he led Lahore Region Whites in the National Men’s Under-19 Cup, scoring 369 runs in seven matches, including a century and two half-centuries.

Vice-captain Usman Khan has also earned his spot after an outstanding run with FATA, amassing 429 runs, with two centuries and a fifty.

The selected squad will gather in Karachi for a preparatory camp before flying to Dubai later this month.

Pakistan were eliminated in the semi-finals by Bangladesh in the previous edition and will be aiming for a stronger campaign under Farhan’s leadership this time around.
