DOHA: India A’s young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced a once-in-a-generation performance on Friday, rewriting multiple T20 records with a blistering 144 off just 42 balls against the UAE in the Asia Cup Rising Stars at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium.

At just 14 years old, Suryavanshi announced himself on the global stage with a jaw-dropping 32-ball century, becoming the youngest player ever to score a hundred for a men’s representative team. His strike rate of 324.85 also ranks as the fourth-highest for any men’s T20 century worldwide.

The left-hander’s whirlwind innings featured 15 sixes and 11 fours, propelling India A to a massive 297-run total—one of the highest ever seen in age-group or developmental cricket at this level.

The prodigy first gained attention earlier this year during his IPL 2025 debut for Rajasthan Royals, where he smashed a magnificent century that turned him into an overnight star.

About the Asia Cup Rising Stars

The newly rebranded Rising Stars Asia Cup is being played in Doha from November 14 to 23, featuring eight teams — Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong, split into two groups.

One of the tournament’s biggest attractions, the Pakistan vs India clash, is scheduled for November 16, with the semi-finals set for November 21 and the grand final on November 23.
