The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially unveiled its list of domestic contracts for the 2025-26 season, awarding 65 women cricketers – including 23 U19 and Emerging players – as part of its efforts to strengthen women’s cricket in the country.

Gold & Silver Categories Introduced

For the very first time, the contracts have been divided into two categories:

• Gold Contracts (20 players)
• Silver Contracts (45 players)

These contracts will remain in effect from July 2025 to June 2026, covering a busy calendar of domestic and U19 tournaments.

Selection Criteria

According to PCB, the retainers were not only based on previous domestic performances but also on the potential and promise shown by players in recent competitions. The Women’s National Selection Committee, consisting of former Test cricketer Asad Shafiq and ex-international cricketer Batool Fatima, finalised the list.

Players outside this pool can also earn a spot by proving themselves in upcoming domestic tournaments and regional academy camps, keeping the door open for fresh talent.

This marks the third consecutive season in which PCB has offered domestic contracts to women players, reflecting its commitment to developing talent at both the pathway and domestic levels.
