LEEDS: Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali delivered a sensational all round performance to help Yorkshire County Cricket Club secure a thrilling two-wicket victory over Derbyshire County Cricket Club in the ongoing Vitality Blast clash at Headingley on Sunday.

Batting first, Derbyshire piled up an impressive 194/4 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to a superb unbeaten innings from opener Martin Andersson, who smashed 81 runs off 56 deliveries.

He was well supported in the latter half of the innings by Matthew Montgomery and Ross Whiteley. Montgomery played a quickfire knock of 35 from 23 balls, while Whiteley remained unbeaten on 39 off just 17 deliveries to power Derbyshire to a strong total.

For Yorkshire, Hasan Ali, Andrew Tye, Matthew Revis and Jafer Chohan picked up one wicket each.

In reply, Yorkshire stumbled early and were reduced to 65/4 in 7.4 overs after Pakistan fast bowler Akif Javed dismissed opener Adam Lyth, who had earlier blasted 31 off only 11 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.

Veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali then steadied the chase with a counter-attacking half-century. He struck 51 runs from 35 deliveries, including five towering sixes, before being dismissed by Nick Potts.

With Yorkshire still requiring 56 runs from the final 27 balls, Hasan Ali and Andrew Tye produced a remarkable partnership to turn the match around.

Hasan Ali smashed a blistering 31 off just 12 deliveries, hitting two fours and three sixes, while Tye contributed an unbeaten 32 from 13 balls as Yorkshire chased down the target with four balls remaining.
