The Rawalpindiz have suffered a major setback in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, with star pacer Naseem Shah ruled out due to injury.

According to an official statement from the franchise, the right-arm fast bowler sustained a side strain during their recent clash against Karachi Kings. The injury has forced him to miss action for the foreseeable future.
The team’s medical staff are closely monitoring his recovery, with hopes that the 23-year-old could return in the latter stages of the tournament, depending on his rehabilitation progress and final fitness clearance.
Despite the setback, Rawalpindiz management has thrown its full support behind Naseem Shah, describing him as a vital part of the squad. The franchise expressed confidence that the young pacer will make a strong comeback once fully fit.
Naseem’s injury comes at a challenging time, both for the player and the team. He had a difficult start to the campaign, managing just one wicket against Karachi Kings after going wicketless and conceding 51 runs in the opening match.
The latest development adds to Rawalpindiz’s struggles in PSL 11. The side has lost all three of its opening matches and currently sits seventh on the points table, just above Hyderabad Kingsmen.
With early momentum slipping away, the team now faces the tough task of regrouping and reviving their campaign without one of their leading fast bowlers.
