Pakistan Shaheens eased past India A with a commanding eight-wicket victory at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Sunday, thanks to a superb all-round performance from Maaz Sadaqat.

Chasing a modest target of 137, the Shaheens cruised home with 40 balls to spare, losing just two wickets along the way. Sadaqat was the standout performer, smashing an unbeaten 79 off 47 balls, laced with seven fours and four towering sixes. He was well supported by Mohammad Faiq, who finished on 16 off 14*, striking a boundary and a six.

The chase began with a solid foundation as Sadaqat and Mohammad Naeem stitched together a 55-run opening stand in just 5.3 overs. Naeem contributed 14 off 10 before falling to Naman Dhir. Sadaqat then continued his fluent stroke play and brought up his second half-century of the tournament.

Yasir Khan chipped in with 11 from 9 balls, helping push the total to 94/2 in 9.3 overs. From there, Sadaqat and Faiq comfortably guided Pakistan past the 100-run mark in the 10th over and maintained full control until the finish. India’s bowlers struggled for breakthroughs, with Suyash Sharma and Yash Thakur claiming one wicket each.

India A Collapse After Bright Start

Earlier, India A were bowled out for 136 in 19 overs after opting to bat first. The innings started positively with a 30-run opening stand in 3.2 overs between Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya.

Suryavanshi looked dangerous, scoring a quickfire 45 off 28 balls with five fours and three sixes, while Arya impressed with 35 off 20, striking six boundaries and a six. However, once their partnership ended, India suffered a dramatic collapse, losing wickets in clusters and failing to play out the full quota of overs.

For Pakistan, Shahid Aziz spearheaded the attack with an excellent three-wicket haul, while Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood picked up two wickets each, ensuring India never recovered from the mid-innings slump.
