Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha has urged his side to sharpen their death bowling skills despite a 31-run victory over the UAE in the second match of the ongoing tri-series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Chasing a stiff 208-run target, UAE fought hard but eventually managed 176-8 in their 20 overs. Asif Khan was the standout performer for the hosts, smashing a brilliant 77 off just 35 deliveries, laced with six fours and as many sixes.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali picked up three wickets but proved expensive, conceding 47 runs in his four overs. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz delivered the most economical spell, finishing with 2 for 21 in his quota.

Earlier, Pakistan’s batting fired on all cylinders as Saim Ayub (69) and Hasan Nawaz (56) played commanding knocks, setting up a formidable total that eventually secured the win for the Green Shirts.

Speaking after the game, Salman Ali Agha praised his side’s batting display but admitted that bowling in the final overs remains a major area of concern.

“It was a perfect batting game. In the first 15 overs of our bowling, we were excellent, but the last five overs need improvement. Our death bowling is something we are working on and we must get better in the coming matches,” he said.

The captain also reserved special praise for young sensation Hasan Nawaz, calling him a rare talent with immense potential.

“I have been saying that Hasan Nawaz is a generational talent and has a great future. He just needs to keep working hard and continue improving his game,” Agha added.
